What is Botox?
Botox is an FDA approved medication that is used most often for the treatment of facial lines and wrinkles caused by excessive muscle action. This is particularly effective in the areas of the forehead, between the eyebrows, lines around the eyes, lines surrounding the mouth and sometimes lines of the neck region.

Botox is a natural protein that works by relaxing the muscles that cause overlying skin to wrinkle. Prominent frown lines, “crow’s feet,” and horizontal forehead creases are softened and eventually disappear with a series of treatments. The treatment can also be used to elevate the brows and give your eyes a more refreshed, alert appearance.

Botulinum can be use “off-label” to soften the lines surrounding the mouth and the bands and creases of the neck region.

How does it work
